Safintra is one of Africa’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of world-class metal roof sheeting. The company produces a range of roof profiles that are branded and therefore carry its quality assurance on both profiling and material. All profiles are complemented by a range of roofing flashings for standard and customised applications.

In addition, Safintra sells quality-assured fasteners and a range of polycarbonate sheet products for natural lighting.

Business Situation

As a manufacturing company, Safintra required a program suited to its environment to manage a total manufacturing and accounting system. They had an older version of Navision in place and while manufacturing processes had been streamlined, they wanted a clean system with which to start afresh, as the old system had too many glitches.

They specified a manufacturing system that suited their needs and would allow for faster capturing in the manufacturing process. While they knew that they wanted to use the Microsoft Dynamics NAV solution, they were in need of the right service provider to implement the system according to their specific needs.


Safintra chose Strategix over competitive solution offerings as they were able to offer exactly what the company needed regarding development and growth. While previous partners were unable to resolve the challenges faced by the company, Strategix had previously been of help on an ad hoc basis and Safintra knew that they would deliver in implementing a new system.

As with any implementation of a new system there were some challenges, but Strategix were always able to find solutions, adapting some of the company’s processes and some of the NAV processes to surmount these challenges.

Strategix’s excellent team of developers and support staff made future growth and support easy. Staying with the NAV solution was an obvious and convenient choice as most employees were used to working on older versions thereof.
