The Business Plan for Core Operations
If your business is more likely to use Office tools for core operations than remote collaboration, the Business plan covers the familiar Office apps – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. It also includes OneDrive for cloud storage and file sharing (1TB), although there is no hosted email subscription. If hosted email storage (up to 50GB) is essential aside from the Office app access, you will have to upgrade to the Business Premium package.
The Business plan is ideal if you have a small team where the licensing model per user/month is more cost-effective than the individual Office 2019 on-premises license. The added benefit of the hosted software is having up-to-date versions of the Office apps, which includes security updates and tech support management.
Best for: businesses that mainly use Office apps, cloud file storage and sharing
The All-in-One Office in the Cloud
If your company wants a hosted solution that has both collaborative tools and core applications, there is no other option but the Business Premium subscription. It offers some extra tools useful to run a small business from a single platform, including invoicing, appointment bookings, and simple customer management.
Again, the hosted plan may be more beneficial than the once-off licensing depending on the number of users and is a good option if you plan on scaling your business.
Best for: growing companies who need scalable and end-to-end office management
